In its combination of radical linguistic experimentation and infusion of profoundly gay images and along with its political grounding made his poetry some of the most difficult and influential of Argentine writers of the later half of the 20th century. Alambreswas awarded the Premio "Boris Vian" de Literatura Argentina.
